Pr: 13

- Proverbs 13:11 obtained by fraud dwindles, But the one who gathers by labor increases it.Wealth

Easy come, easy go. God can see the wicked do their unrighteous acts yet God is not slack in giving justice. The time God allows them to do their wickedness is their opportunity to repent. In the end, God would restore all things.

Father God. Thank You for Your mercies, goodness and kindness. We thank You for You are just. You know what we go through everyday You are continually upon, beside and in us through the Holy Spirit, the same One who brooded over the surface of the waters. We thank the Son for His sacrifice that by grace through faith, we can be one with Him. This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. AMEN.

Ps: 13

- Psalm 13:5 I have trusted in Thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation. But

There is a hidden message in this verse: The name of Jesus. The Hebrew is Yeshuah, it means YHVH’s salvation. There are some things hidden in the Bible that the natural man can not perceive.

We thank You Almighty God for Your Salvation, We thank You for the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. That He who raise Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells us. Your Salvation, Oh Lord, is our delight We rejoice in Your Holy Name. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. AMEN.

OT: 2Chr 36 – Ezr 2

-The last two verses of 2 Chronicles is the same as the first two opening verses of Ezra. Cyrus proclaimed that the Jews can return to their homeland. This happened shortly after the fall of Babylon when Daniel read the handwriting on the wall expressing that Babylon would fall to Persia, which happened on the same night (Dan 5:25-31) Probably, Daniel showed to Cyrus the prophecies that were fulfilled (Jer 25:11-12, 29:10); and also the prophecies of Isaiah, who 200 years before had called Cyrus by name, ststing that under him the Jews would return and rebuild Jerusalem (Isa 44:26-28; 45:1,13)

God knows the end from the beginning. He called Cyrus by name, knowing through him Babylon would fall. God is in control.

We thank You Father, Most High for being in control. Only You know the end from the beginning. Help us trust in You more and more everyday. Help our gaze not to stray from You. Sanctify us Spirit of the Lord as we sojourn in this world. All this we pray in the matchless name of our Salvation, Jesus Christ. AMEN.

NT: Act 22 - 23

-22:21-22

The Jews can not accept the fact that God wants to save even the Gentiles. However, Israel’s purpose was to minister as a priest for other nations. They missed the whole point of the Torah, gaining a spiritual pride thinking that the Law was given to them.

In fact, the Law can only condemn. It can never cleanse of anybody’s sin and be righteous before God. It is like a mirror where it can only show there is dirt on your face without washing it.

Blessed be the Father, Almighty King of the Universe for He has not forgotten about the Gentiles. He is not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. Blessed Be the Spirit of the Most High for He convicts us and guides us in our paths. Blessed be the Son of God for He paid for the sins of all men so that for anyone who believes will be granted eternal life. All this I pray, Ha-Shem Yeshua Mashiach Nagid. AMEN.

-v1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.

Those who accept instruction are wise. However, if our pride blinds us and we think we achieved perfect knowledge, a bullet proof doctrine then we will hate correction and will be brutish. Even if we teach and lead a Bible study, there are some things we may not see that other can. If we be prideful then the correction of others will not go well with us. We’ll black list that person as a know-it-all or whatever, whichever ministry they are trying to pursue; we try to prevent with all our influence and power. For we think that person is prideful. We see the speck in the other brother’s eye without seeing the plank on our eyes.

Lord of all the Earth, we, Your people, pray for the destruction of our pride. We can never achieve perfection, let not pride blind us. Help us to receive correction graciously as we receive Your blessings and grace graciously. Bring us to the knowledge and wisdom of Your love and grace as we represent Your name here on earth. We pray in the name of the Son of God, Jesus Christ and in accordance to the Spirit of Truth. AMEN.

Ps: 12

- v6 The words of the LORD are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.

We are sanctified the same way as silver is purified in the fire. Silver and dross is separated by heat. The smith skims away the dross that floats in the silver. The smith will know that silver is pure when he can see his reflection on the silver. Much and in the same way does Jesus sanctify us. He will turn up the heat of trials and our dross will surface, He then takes that away until He could see His face on us.

Father, Almighty Deliverer of Israel, make us clean so that we may shine Your light upon this dark world. Cause us not to hide the light under a bowl but to make the light shine forth above the hill. Guide us through our journey Holy Comforter, as we work out the salvation that is in us. We pray in the name of the true vine, Jesus Christ. AMEN.

OT: 2Chr 33 - 35

-Manasseh lived up to his name, he forgot the Lord. He reinstated pagan worship and sacrificed his children to Baal. However, God punished him by being captured by the Babylonians. Then he repented and God graciously reinstated him as king. His reform was not complete, the high places still exist. He was buried in the garden of his own house and not in the city of David, among his ancestors.

Father, our stronghold and refuge. Help us not to forget Your loving kindness all our days. Help us, everyday, to make the decision of not sinning against You. Help us stand fast in Your Word so that the enemy would not gain a footstool on us. In the name of the Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ we pray. AMEN.

NT: Act 20 - 21

-20:23-27

Paul never shunned to declare the whole counsel of God. This is what churches need today. Generally, the whole counsel of God is not taught in churches. The pulpit is littered with scattered teachings every week which the only way to appreciate is through knowing the whole Bible. The problem is the people do not know the Bible and we teach those with lessons strewn about from the Bible. The simplest way to this problem is to teach the Bible in its entirety. In this way there is a systematic way of learning compared to various topics during the week.

Father, the Lord of Hosts. We pray on behalf of the body. Make us gain depth in our understanding of the Word. Provide us with teachers who are capable of rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Cause us to know Your word in its fullness until the day we don’t have to teach our neighbors Your laws. We pray in the name of the Lamb that takes away the sin of the world. AMEN.

-v9b …But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.

Hosea 4:6a says, [God Speaking] My people perish for lack of knowledge. If we Christians can not distinguish between the right or the left then we can be carried by any wind of doctrine that makes its way to us. The Bible commends us to stand fast on His words. Knowing His word is just half the battle. The other half comes through living it.

Almighty Father, like the prayer of Shlomo, I pray for knowledge and wisdom in order to lead Your people. We are destroyed for our lack of knowledge. I pray that discernment shall be in our hearts and minds so that it will lead to knowledge and wisdom. Spare us from false doctrines, may it not sway us to the right or the left. This we pray I the name of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. AMEN.

Ps: 11

-v6 & 7

God loves justice for He is righteous. He will not let the wicked go unpunished. It may seem at times that evil men prosper, yet their doom is secure. In the end, they will perish.

David almost stumbled on this before he considered the fate of the wicked.

Father God who dwells in the midst of the Cherubim, You are good and You are just. We thank You for counting us worthy to be Your children. Keep us in Your guidance for our sanctification. Pour unto us the oil of Your salvation and may we be light unto this dark world. In the name of the Alpha and the Omega, Jesus Christ. AMEN.

OT: 2Chr 30 - 32

-31:1

In today’s Christian world; "revival" is a common term we hear in most Christian circles. However, it lost its meaning by well meaning Christians who refers to any spiritual movement as a revival. True revival, as the word infers, is a coming back to life. If it were never alive in the first place then it can never revive. What a most churches need is a new movement guided by the Spirit of God to be faithful to the Word, to know what it really says, not seeking for sensationalism but being grounded in the Word.

Father Most High, Holy One of Israel. I pray for the spiritual awakening of the sleeping brethren. And for the remnant that is awake I pray on our behalf that You keep us from complacency. Like Gideon’s army, You use the most unlikely people so that it is clear You are working and the victory is not by our strength. We can not start a revival even if we wanted to without Your prompting. Help us to carry on Your word to others who do not have faith in You. Ground us in Your Word. Make our roots grow deep in Your Word and cause us to drink deep in the fountain of living waters so that we shall bear fruit. In the name of the root and offspring of David, Jesus Christ we pray. AMEN.

NT: Act 18 - 19

-18:5-8

In both cases, Paul did NOT have anything to do with their condemnation and salvation. Paul was just the instrument used for the condemnation for others and for other’s their salvation.

Father, El Elyon, We thank You for sending Your salvation. Thank You Yeshua Mashiach for fulfilling the Law and the Prophets. Thank You Ruach Hakodesh for dwelling upon us, beside us and in us eternally guiding and helping us in our sojourn. Sanctify us for the work You have for us. Only You can save for we can never save ourselves much less save others. However, use us as Your instruments to divide humanity with a sword, for the Word You gave is like a sword; dividing the sheep and the goats. All this we pray in the name of our Savior and Lord, Yeshua. AMEN.

-v7-9

If a person is wise he will receive correction from the brethren. However, this passage does not address how to approach a brother in the Lord who is erring. The New Testament describes a procedure where the one that has erred is confronted by one, then two, then the whole congregation if the one does not repent.

Father, Most High who created the Heavens and the earth, please give me knowledge and through knowledge, wisdom especially in regards to Your words and Your will. Ha-shem Yeshua Mashiach Nagid. AMEN.

Ps: 9

-v1

Wherever we are, whatever we may be doing, whichever time it may be; be willing to declare God’s marvelous works. The Lord has planted us in a certain place. It is good to have a heart for people outside the country. But also consider if God wants you to bloom wherever you are planted. People from all over the world are flocking to cities. There are more residents in cities than rural areas per square mile. The man from the Gadarenes, whom the legion of demons was exorcised, was sent to Decapolis or ten cities; very similar to Los Angeles. If one man who was cured from his affliction and had just a little contact with Yeshua Mashiach, how much more should we, who were forgiven a multitude of sins and know Yeshua Mashiach on a deeper level, be better representatives under His name?

Notice that the man from the Gadarenes was sent home. People from all places were going there to trade. When they witness and hear the words from this former demoniac, eventually they will go back to their own country and tell the story of this former demoniac. God, in His wisdom, knew this is more effective than one man going to all the other countries.

Heavenly Father, on behalf of your people living in cities; I pray that You embolden us to be more zealous for Your Word. Make us take Your Words seriously as we sojourn in this world together as one by the Ruach HaKodesh who dwells in, on and besides us; and Ha-shem Yeshua Mashiach Nagid. AMEN.

OT: 2Chr 24 – 26

-24:10

The people rejoiced and they brought their contributions. God loves a cheerful giver. In the New Testament sense, there is no such thing as tithing but there is giving. We give in accordance to how much we love the body of Christ. How I wish that Christians would give willingly.

Father who works all things for good to those who love You and are called according to Your purpose, I beseech thee; cause us to be cheerful givers. Present to us the needs of the body of Christ and rend our hearts to lend a helping hand. Equip us so that we could edify the church. In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we pray. AMEN.

NT: Act 14 – 15

-14:19-20

Sha’ul apparently died. In 2Co 12, he describes himself in the third person because even he can’t tell if he was dead or he experienced a vision. Ministry is the life of the Christian. We are not Christians during Sundays only; we are Christians 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world.

15:5

Some Pharisees were saved. We have some evidences that point to this fact, however we don’t hear of any of the Sadducees being saved. The Pharisees are the legalistic types while the Sadducees are the liberals. Someone legalistic has a better chance at salvation than someone liberal. Liberalism is compromise. With God, no one can serve Him and other gods at the same time.

YHVH echad, Teach us to be Your representatives. Cause us to listen through Your words. Open the eyes of our hearts so that it may see Your love. Open the ears of our heart so that we develop our trust in You. For trust comes trough hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Destroy the strongholds of liberalism and legalism so that others may believe. Break the other gods so Your glory may shine. Ha-shem Yeshua Mashiach Nagid. AMEN.

-v36 "But he who sins against me (wisdom) wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death."

The militant Muslims, who declared Jihad on America in order to get to Israel, said that "the way our enemies (us) love life so we love death."

On a deeper context, this chapter wasn’t just describing wisdom. It is describing the Son of God who created everything for His pleasure and is the embodiment of wisdom.

Christianity is under attack and we’re sleeping. There is a peaceful side to Christianity yet Jesus never called us to be pacifist. There is also a militant side to Christianity. We wouldn’t be called to spiritual warfare if this isn’t so. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians did not say take out the armor; on the contrary, it said wear the armor and the armaments and use it.

Father Most High, I pray for the salvation of the Muslims. Break the strongholds in their minds that cause them to be blind to the truth of your word. Break their hardened hearts so that the seed of the Word may grow, let there be an abundance of the living water that would supply their hearts. May You cause the seeds to grow under Your guidance and in accordance to Your will.

On behalf of Your children, I pray that we stand fast. Gird us for war. Stir in us a longing to proclaim Your truth regardless of the cost; may it be riches or comfort, life or limb. I pray that You will count us worthy to be used for Your glory. Use me for your glory, Lord. Teach me how to serve You more, so others may believe. Ha-Shem Yeshua Mashiac Nagid. AMEN.

Ps: 8

-v4 "What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?"

The Psalms are not just the songbook of Israel but sometimes it is prophetic. This is one of them. The problem with prophecy is that it doesn’t say at what point in time it will happen nor does it say how all the prophecies are to be resolved.

The Rabbis know that Messiah will come and establish His kingdom yet some prophecies regarding the Messiah show His suffering. They have a theory dubbed the "Suffering Messiah" and within the framework of that theory is the assumption that the Messiah has to come twice. The most surprising aspect of this theory is that they can not see that Messiah already came once. Rabbis read Isaiah 53 and still can’t see that it was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

The Messiah visited us once, He will come again.

Father, I pray that the blindness in Israel be lifted. May the fullness of the gentile be come in. Oh Lord, come quickly. AMEN.

OT: 2Chr 21 - 23

-2Chr 21:7

God is faithful to His word even to the point of letting a wicked king rule and reign. However, God did not spare Yehoram. He died a painful death.

God is sovereign and He can not be unfaithful to His word. Basically, God can not do anything that is contrary to His nature. God can not lie for He is truth. God can not learn for He is all knowing. God does not know any other way to Heaven but through His son.

Praise be to God, for He said "lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Since He is faithful to His word; He will do His part regardless of what we feel. At times, we may feel lonely but these are just feelings. It will pass. There is however, faith in God’s word. If we trust in His word then our foundation is secure.

The same faithfulness can be seen in God’s protection for the line of David. God said David’s line would bring forth the Messiah. Queen Atalyah tried to purge David’s line to establish Baal worship but Yehoash survived without her knowledge.

Glory, Honor and Praise be to the Name of the Most High, to He who dwells in the midst of the Cherubim. We, Your people, rejoice in Your goodness and Your mercy that endures forever. May Your Words come to pass as it is in Heaven so may it be here on earth as we wait for Your return while we sojourn. In the Name of Jesus, the Son of God, AMEN.

NT: Act 12 - 13

-Acts 12:2

Ya’akov and Kefa were imprisoned. We can safely infer that the church was praying for both people. However, Ya’akov died but Kefa escaped by a miracle. Also, when he escaped, nobody believed that what they were praying for happened.

On one hand, it is not uncommon for people to pray about something and then the Lord’s answer is NO. It was merely God’s prerogative that Ya’akov’s time was done. His mission here on earth is done.

Instead of praying for something to happen, it is better to pray for His will to happen.

On the other hand, Kefa escaped from prison. The church was praying on his behalf when he came knocking on the door. They did not believe that Kefa escaped. It is fairly common for Christians to pray for something but when that something is answered right away; we resort to praying more instead of applying discernment. When Eli’ezer prayed for Yitz’chak’s wife, he did not believe it right away when Rivkah came along.

Lord God almighty, I pray that Your people will gain discernment through diligent study of Your Word. I pray Father, that when Your answer to our prayers come that we shall be wise enough to know Your answer.

-Acts 13:39

The Law of Moshe can NEVER justify anyone from his sins. Only a sacrifice worthy of covering the sin of the world can save people. That sacrifice was the sacrifice of Yeshua Mashiach on the cross. Romans chapter 3 can be summarized by this verse.

Pr: 7

- Keeping the Word and treasuring His commands would make us live. Wisdom would keep us from harm’s way.

Father Most High, deliver me from evil. Amen.

Ps: 7

- The Lord is our deliverer, according to His righteousness; He shall judge.

Sovereign Father; I pray that by the blood of the Lamb, that takes away the sin of the world, that covers your elect; that You may make me righteous in your sight. Grant me mercy and not justice for I am a man of unclean lips. Burn the dross so that your face will shine upon me. Deliver me not unto my enemies but subject me unto thine mercy. Amen

OT: 2Chr 18 - 20

- Compare & contrast = Mikha’yahu son of Yimlah and Tzidikiyah son of Kena’anah

Standing for the truth is difficult and even at times intimidating. However, it is important that we Christians do not compromise with the world for the world is against God. Mika’yahu was faithful to God’s word while Tzidikiyah delivered what the king wanted to hear.

In addition, King Y’hoshafat compromised by helping the wicked and loving those who hate the Lord. He did well but his service to God was tainted.

Light and darkness have no fellowship. Bitter and sweet water can not come from the same source. We either serve God or something else.

Blessed be YHVH, King of the universe. Cause me to have an uncompromising stand before You. Regardless of what people say, I shall serve You and You alone. I understand that people will misunderstand me, as I live in accordance to the zeal and conviction which You planted in my heart. However, I do not live to please them but You. Grant me the good grace to withstand such trials. Cause me to rest in your presence.

NT: Act 10 - 11

-Oxymoron = Not so, Lord!

If God is Lord then we should not say no to Him. This just shows the volition of man and how unstable it is like water. God made us volitional beings. For with this volition, there is meaning into it if we decide to follow Him.

Bar-Nabba means son of encouragement. He lived up to his name. He encouraged Sha’ulto be with him in his ministry. At this time, Sha’ul was still some sort of an outcast. He was fresh out from being a Pharisee of the Pharisee and a persecutor for the church. It would be like having Hitler getting converted and joining a synagogue. Because Bar-Nabba encouraged Paul, we now treasure his epistles.

Just like Barnabas, Brother Edwin encouraged me to teach under him in his Bible study with the elders. We taught side by side then alternately. Now, I alone teach the elders of the church the epistle to the Romans.

If not for someone to recognize someone else’s gift, the body would have been deprived of that person’s gift. Which is also contrary to the purpose of God’s gift and that is to edify the body of Christ.

Holy God who dwells on High, I pray that You make more sons of encouragement. Cause us to see other people’s gifts and to encourage them to be useful for the Kingdom. Thank you, Holy Spirit for dwelling in, with and upon us as we wait for the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Amen

God is Jewish

November 16th, 2006 by armelandrada

The God written about in the Bible is Jewish. This bold statement, of course, is NOT equal to saying God is Chinese or God is American. Being a Jew is not based on ethnicity. After all, there are Russian Jews, Iranian Jews, Spanish Jews and so on. It is important to realize that if God is not a Jew then Christians should despair because salvation has no basis.

One way of remembering the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ is to compare it with the Levitical sin offering.

The Lamb’s blood is shed to cover a person’s sin. Without the shedding of blood, there can be no remission of sin; this is a very Jewish concept.

During the baptism of Jesus Christ, John said "Behold the LAMB of God who takes away the sin of the world." And when Jesus shed His blood on the cross, the sin of the world was paid in full. Moreover, Just as a LAMB before his shearers is silent, So He does not open His mouth.

If you take out anything Jewish related in the Bible, you’ll be left with nothing.

I am a Christian; I serve the Jewish Messiah, whom the Jewish prophets prophesied, foreshadowed in the Jewish Law of Moses, affirmed by the Jewish Scribes who kept the Jewish Scriptures intact, given to us as a Jewish sacrifice for sin by the God who is Jewish.

Moreover, if God is not Jewish then Jesus Christ, His son, died in vain; for Gentiles do not require sin offerings and has no basis whatsoever on the remission of sin.

Singleness

April 18th, 2006 by armelandrada

What does the Bible say about singleness?

Some people tend to think that in order to be "holy" one has to be single. This is the Greek mind at work. The Greeks think that dedicating oneself to the Lord’s work and staying single is the mark of being pious. However, in the Jewish mind; a "holy" man or woman should be married. According to the Talmud, the Jewish oral law, some people are destined to be fuel for Sheol (Hell) these include single people and couples with no offspring.

There are three very notable people in the Bible that people think are single but are not: Peter (Cephas), Paul of Tarsus and Jesus Christ. {{{If you think I’m supporting the junk of the Da Vinci code, you’re sadly mistaken. Please read on}}}

Peter, as the Catholics would attest, is the first pope. I have a problem with that; the Bible talks about Peter’s mother in law whom Jesus Christ healed. Nobody can be unmarried and yet have a mother in law. Besides, if he is the first pope then the successors should follow his example and be Jewish.

Paul the apostle is regarded by most Christians as single. I have a problem with that. The Bible says he is the Pharisee of Pharisees, he followed the law and the oral law meticulously. No one can be an unmarried pharisee because according to the oral law; a pharisee should be married in order to be merciful to others. The current theory presents Paul as a widower.

Jesus Christ never married when He was here on earth the first time. He is single even up to this day; However, He is betrothed. He is engaged and the Holy spirit is the engagement ring. Jesus Christ is going to marry the church. To those people who say "I don’t want to marry, I’m already married to the church"; watch out. She’s taken. Revelation says that Jesus Christ will one day come for His bride. It sounds strange to us because we don’t know what a ancient Jewish wedding is like. The parable of the ten virgins reflect this tradition. The groom comes in unannounced and takes his bride away to the wedding feast. Much and in the same way, Jesus Christ will come in and take (the rapture) His bride (the church) away to the feast in Heaven.

In conclusion, there is nothing intrinsically wrong with being single, as long as you can bear it. If you yearn for children and intimate companionship then it proves you don’t have the gift of singleness. But in whatever state you are in now, serve God.

Some Things God Can NOT do

February 21st, 2006 by armelandrada

It is written, (Matthew 19:26b) “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” However, God cannot do things that are contrary to His nature.  God cannot lie; God cannot learn; and God cannot make you love Him. It’s a contradiction of terms.”

            1. God cannot lie

There is no way God can lie because He is truth. At least seven times in the Tanakh (Nu 23:19, De 32:4, Ps 31:5, Ps 57:3, Ps 86:15, Ps 115:1, Isa 65:16), and two in the New Testament (Tit 1:2, Heb 6:18) the verses declare God is incapable of lying. The old Christian adage goes; God means what He says and He says what He means.

            2. God cannot learn

This is because He is all knowing. When we learn something “new” it is new in our perspective because what we have learned is really old information in God’s view. When Adham incurred sin into mankind, God was NOT surprised, He knew of Adham’s fall before the foundation of the world, yet He still created Adham, without altering his decision making faculties.

            3. God cannot make anyone love Him

God cannot make anyone love Him because forced “love” is not real love. God’s love for us is non-conditional while our love for one another may possibly be conditional. We use the term love very glibly.  Some people say, “I love you because you take care of me” or “I love you because you are beautiful” What happens when this person is unable to take care of us or cease being beautiful? Would our love likewise cease? Unlike our kind of love, God’s love is the real kind (agape) of love. It is not a feeling but a decision and it requires the other person (the receiver) to respond according to his power of choice to make the love real.
